HKIE Fundraising Golf Day

The HKIE Fundraising Golf Day was held at Mission Hills Golf Club, the Olazabal Course of Dongguan Club House on 4 December 2014. The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers has recently acquired new premises at Causeway Bay Island Beverley. This activity is for raising funds in support of the new accommodation of the Institution.

JEC Football Tournament

The JEC Football Tournament was successfully held at Wong Chuk Hang Recreation Ground on 15 November 2014. Seven teams competed in the seven vs seven knockout tournament. Trane lost 0-1 to HC+OPS in the first round, and then achieved a 1-0 triumph over FC Central in a friendly match. The weather was nice, and all players enjoyed the tournament.

Trane Training Class 2014

The Trane Training Class (TTC) is a series of CPD training courses for the HVAC industry organized by Trane Hong Kong, beginning from 2007. TTC 2014 is a three half-day programme that lands on successive Friday mornings, commencing from 21 November 2014 to 5 December 2014 in the Trane Hong Kong office. We received an overwhelming response from the engineering industry, with over 40 participants in full house attending each session. The topics in the course covered a wide range of knowledge from fundamental theory, the latest technology applications, energy measurement, energy audits to regulations updates. In every session, internal and external speakers with extensive experiences presented their specialized topic. Participants expressed their interest in VSD Chiller and integrated Chiller Plant Control in particular. Trane Hong Kong believes that the advancement of HVAC technology required contributions from every individual professional. As one of the largest HVAC suppliers, we take pride in continuing to provide professional development programme for engineering society.

Ir K. T. Cheuk, Senior Contract Manager of Trane Service Hong Kong, was invited by the Hong Kong Productivity Council and The Hong Kong Association of Energy Service Companies to be a speaker at the ‘CarbonSmart’ seminar on 4 April 2014. The technical seminar covered the use of energy efficient air conditioning systems to help businesses reduce carbon consumption.
